Tara Ard

Tara is a Kansas City native. She grew up in Lee’s Summit and attended Lee’s Summit High School, where she was active in student government, the arts -- and DANCE!   A graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia  and was active on the MIZZOU Student Council, Co-chaired the Student Mentor Program, and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.  It was at MIZZOU where she made lasting memories and lifelong friends. 

Tara began her career in Kansas City media in 1998. She has dedicated her professional life to helping local business owners solve their marketing needs and achieve their goals. She is a Senior Account Executive with Audacy-Kansas City and specializes in finding the right mix for her clients using radio advertising - KMBZ, 610 Sports Radio, 98.9 The Rock, 106.5 The Wolf, 99.7 The Point and 1660 The Bet - sports marketing - Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, University of Missouri and K-State - and digital marketing solutions.

Tara married Chris Ard in 2004 and has two beautiful children, Hannah and Henry.  Hannah is a freshman at Blue Valley North, and Henry attends Leawood Middle School.  Now widowed, Tara is learning to navigate parenting two active teenagers, while keeping up with their activities and social schedules. 

Tara cares about our community and has helped raise awareness and funds for many non-profit organizations over the years; Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year, Young Friends of the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired, Operation Breakthrough and Bacchus to name a few.  She looks forward to telling Cristo Rey’s story and raising awareness to help the amazing students that attend. AND, she is excited to put those dancing shoes back on!
